The Opportunity This is a full-time (1.0 FTE) position available on a permanent or fixed-term basis, with potential for extension or transition to permanency. As part of a well-supported surgical team, you will provide comprehensive orthopaedic services including: Outpatient clinics, elective and emergency procedures On-call and acute care responsibilities Clinical leadership and supervision of junior medical staff Participation in teaching, audits, and quality improvement initiatives You will play a key role in shaping and expanding orthopaedic services within a progressive regional setting. The Hospital You will be based at a modern regional health campus functioning as a secondary referral centre for a large catchment population. The facility includes: ~140 inpatient beds with planned future expansion A busy Emergency Department with over 35,000 presentations annually Established surgical and medical departments, including oncology, general medicine, and subacute care High dependency services and strong multidisciplinary support Accredited training programs, making it a recognised teaching hospital This is a forward-thinking service known for innovation, integrated care programs, and strong clinical governance. Salary & Benefits $412,161 – $523,436 per annum (Consultant Year 1–9) Inclusive of base salary, 12% superannuation , and professional development allowance Salary packaging up to $19,000 p.a.
